Wild Quinine Plant

Wild Quinine Plant

With flowers looking like white pearls from a distance this interesting native wildflower has an interesting history. During WWI this plant became an important drug for malaria as the usual source for the drug (the Cinchona tree) supply became interrupted. Many populations, which happen to rely on fairly high-grade habitat, were decimated. We’re proud to have these seed-grown plants available of this rare and interesting plant.
