French Sorrel Plant

A perennial vegetable leaf, it starts growth quite early in the spring before many other garden plants. It has an acidic flavor similar to lemons and is packed full of vitamin C. A great first green in the spring! And it’s available ALL growing season.  The French Sorrel differs a little from Garden Sorrel – the French is more delicate and small, but both are used similarly and taste delicious!
Sorrel is one of those plants that occurs in grasslands all over the world. It is quite the cosmopolitan plant with traditional dishes that span the cultures of the places it inhabits.
