This big sunflower relative is native prairie plant that has done well and produced seed for us in our gardens. Where the leaves attach to the stem this plant creates a cup that fills with water in the rain and provides shelter for many native organisms. Tree frogs seem to love this one, birds will drink from the water cups formed, a real magnet for wildlife. Yellow Blooms come in mid-summer and last a long time. Big colony-former that likes to self-seed.
