Perennial onions that grow back each year and yield new and bigger clusters of sets on their top and new onion bulbs in the soil. They self-divide both at their base and their tops! These onions really do walk around the garden. During spring and fall we dig up the whole plant to divide the clumps and eat like scallions. The top sets that are formed make a great no-dig onion substitute with a flavor like shallots. This is a great multi-use plant, companion plant it with anything.
